Romania offers a rich tapestry of tourist attractions and vacation experiences unique in Central-Eastern Europe: medieval towns in Transylvania, the world-famous Painted Monasteries in Bucovina, traditional villages in Maramures, the magnificent architecture of Bucharest, the romantic Danube Delta, fairy-tale castles, the Black Sea resorts, the majestic Carpathian Mountains, spas and much more.

DAY 1 - BUCHAREST - CONSTANTA - TULCEA
Departure from Hotel Bulevard/Bucharest in the morning (around 9 a.m.) to Constanta- panoramic sight-seeing tour of the city. Continue to Tulcea- dinner

DAY 2 - TULCEA - THE DANUBE DELTA - GALATI
After breakfast we depart on a boat tour into the heart of unspoiled nature of the Danube Delta - lunch on board. Departure to Galati for dinner

DAY 3 - GALATI - IASI
After breakfast, departure to Botosani and then to Iasi, the cultural capital of Moldova. The town is by far the nicest in the region. Its university, theatre, resident orchestra and history, rival those of Bucharest - which was merely a small market town when Iasi became a princely seat. Visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, which contains the relics of St.Paraschiva, which brings to Iasi in mid-October thousands of worshippers, and the Church of the Three Hierachs, with its unique stone carvings.

DAY 4 - IASI - TIRGU NEAMT - SUCEAVA
After breakfast we descent to Tirgu Neamt and visit the Neamt Monastery, the oldest in Moldova and the largest men"s monastery in Romania. We continue towrds South and visit Agapia Monastery , surrounded by high walls and with a cheerful garden. During the renovation of 1850s, the interior was paint by Nicolae Grigorescu, one of the most important artist painter in Romania. Dinner

DAY 5 - SUCEAVA - THE PAINTED MONASTERIES OF SOUTHEREN BUCOVINA -BISTRITA
Visits of Moldovita, Sucevita, Humor and Voronet monasteries, with their medieval frescoes of redemption and damnation that blaze in polychromatic splendor. Continue through the Bargaului Valley with its inspiring scenery and villages that are living monuments to a way of life unchanged for centuries to the Dracula Hotel, which outwardly resembles a forbidding castle. Just beyond lies the Tihuta pass. The view is marvelous. Dinner

DAY 6 - BISTRITA - CLUJ - ALBA IULIA
After breakfast, departure to Cluj, the most important cultural town in Transylvania - visit of its Botanic Gardens. Dinner

DAY 7 - ALBA IULIA - HUNEDOARA - TIRGU JIU
Departure to Hunedoara, and visit the Huniazilor Castle, the greatest fortress in Romania. We"ll travel through the picturesque Jiul Gorges to Tirgu Jiu. The main attraction of Tirgu Jiu are the four monumental sculptures by Brancusi, created in the late 1930s as a war memorial for the town of his boyhood -the Endless Column, the Gate of the Kiss, the Avenue of the Seats and the Table of Silence. Dinner

DAY 8 - TIRGU JIU - RIMNICU VILCEA - SIBIU - SIGHISOARA
Departing from Tirgu Jiu we are going to visit the Women"s Cave that gets its name from the human skeletons - mainly those of women and children- found on its upper level, Bistrita Monastery, which the boyards of Craiova endowed during the XV-th century, the Horezu Monastery, the largest and finest of Wallachia"s Brincoveanu complexes and pass through Horezu (best known for its pottery). Stop over in Sibiu. Dinner

DAY 9 - SIGHISOARA - BRASOV - TIRGOVISTE
In Sighisoara we are going to visit the Citadel, with its mighty Clock Tower and the house where Vlad Tepes , Dracula, was born. Continue to Brasov. Stop in the old centre of the town for a short walk and vist of the Black Church, so called for its blackened walls as a result of a great fire, lit by an Austrian army, that swept Brasov in 1689. The most amazing thing about this Lutheran church is that it displays a collection of Islamic prayer rugs. It is also famous for its Organ recitals on its 4000-pipe instrument. We are going to visit also the St. Nicolae Church . Continue to the beautiful county of Rasnov and visit the Bran Castle. It has been built in 1377 to safeguard the vital route between Valachia and Transilvania and it is known noeadays as "Dracula Castle" because of its associations with Vlad Tepes ( the Impaler). The route continues through a resplendent region wit a breath-taking view. The area around Cimpulung is famous for its megalithic stone structures said to be proof to an extremely old civilization. Visit of the Namaiesti rock church, with its ancient and miraculous icon and cells carved in stone. Dinner

DAY 10 - TIRGOVISTE - SINAIA
After visiting the Princely Court in Targoviste- continue to Sinaia. Visit of the monastery and of the Peles Castle.. Dinner

DAY 11 - SINAIA - BUCHAREST
Breakfast. Departure to Bucharest. sSight seeing tour of Bucharest with the Villeage Museum. End of tour in Hotel Bulevard.
